Terms and conditions

CPR / First Aid / AED Training

Terms & Conditions (Comprehensive Draft)

1. Program Eligibility

Participants must meet any physical requirements necessary to perform CPR, first aid tasks, and AED operation. By enrolling, the participant confirms they are physically capable of performing chest compressions, rescue breaths, and other required skills. If you want, I can tailor this section to your specific audience: customize eligibility.

2. Instructor Credentials

Training will be delivered by certified instructors authorized by the relevant accrediting body (e.g., American Heart Association, Red Cross, or equivalent). The organization reserves the right to assign or change instructors as needed. Learn more about instructor standards: instructor requirements.

3. Participant Responsibilities

  • Arrive on time and attend all required course hours
  • Participate in all hands‑on skills practice
  • Follow safety instructions provided by the instructor
  • Notify the instructor of any medical conditions that may affect participation
  • Complete all required assessments to qualify for certification

4. Certification Requirements

Certification is not guaranteed. Participants must successfully demonstrate required skills and pass written or practical evaluations. Certification validity and renewal requirements follow the issuing organization’s policies. If you want a version aligned with AHA or Red Cross rules: align with AHA/Red Cross.

5. Liability Waiver

By enrolling, participants acknowledge that CPR and first aid training involves physical activity. The organization is not liable for injuries sustained during training unless caused by negligence. Participants agree to perform skills only within their personal physical limits. I can strengthen this clause legally if needed: expand liability waiver.

6. Use of Training Materials

All training materials—including manuals, videos, and handouts—are for personal educational use only. Reproduction, distribution, or commercial use is prohibited without written permission.

7. Attendance & Rescheduling

  • Missing required course hours may result in failure to certify
  • Rescheduling is allowed with advance notice (typically 24–48 hours)
  • No‑shows may forfeit fees

8. Refund Policy

Refunds may be issued only under the organization’s stated refund policy. Common options include:

  • Full refund if canceled within a set timeframe
  • Partial refund after materials have been issued
  • No refund for same‑day cancellations or no‑shows

If you want a stricter or more flexible version: adjust refund policy.

9. Safety & Conduct

Participants must behave respectfully and follow all safety protocols. The organization may remove any participant who poses a safety risk or disrupts the class. Removal may result in loss of certification eligibility and forfeiture of fees.

10. Medical Disclaimer

Training does not qualify participants to provide professional medical care. CPR, first aid, and AED skills are intended for emergency response only. Participants should always follow local laws and guidelines when providing aid.

11. Privacy & Data Use

Participant information (name, email, certification records) may be stored for certification tracking and verification purposes. Personal data will not be shared except with accrediting bodies or as required by law.

12. Agreement

By enrolling in the course, participants acknowledge they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
